Ministry Alongside People with Special Needs

As I noted earlier (and the reason you have not seen many blog posts), I have been working on a new ministry in our diocese. In an effort to communicate what I feel God is calling us to do, I've created this PowerPoint presentation:

Our diocese is very small and is comprised primarily of rural churches - probably where there is the most need in including people with special needs into congregational life. This will be a ministry that is focused on the individual and their family, one family at a time.

If you are stopping by, I would love your feedback.

Does your church do a good job in including individuals, adults and children? I would love to hear your story!

An Extra Special Missionary

I've watched this video several times and it moves me every time - because I share deeply the conviction this family lives and knows. The world needs individuals with Down syndrome and their extra dose of love that comes with the extra genetic material. The world needs those who live and share God's love...

Watch and be blessed!

Dream Catchers

I am so honored to know the young lady who made this inspirational production called Dream Catchers. Kristina is about the same age as Reagan and has a younger sister, Adrianna, with Down syndrome. Kristina, from Inside Adrianna's Books, is an insightful young woman who has blessed me greatly in the short time I've known her.

Hear the stories of individuals with Down syndrome and their parents - and be inspired by the Dream Catchers:
