Forsythia is one of my favorites too - so joyful and bright!
Morel mushrooms are very big in central IL. The season is short and the hunt is addicting...and the mushrooms are delicious battered and fried - a true delicacy around these parts. I'm sorry to say I did not get to go into the woods to hunt for the prized mushrooms that probably withered and faded away.
I am now in the land of the southern magnolia visiting my parents in south Florida. The magnolias are in full bloom, the air is warm and the sun is shining. It has been such a long winter in the upper midwest!
Don't worry Barbara - "they" promise me spring will come to Wisconsin though I'm having a hard time believing "them" :-)
The Spring blossoms are gorgeous. Your Thai food looks delicious. When I'm stressed - I listen to worship music, blog, or watch the Food channel. Sometimes I comfort myself by eating, but I'm trying to stop doing that.

Spring has finally arrived here, too. :o)
I love your magnolias! I've always wanted a magnolia tree.
Happy Spring, Amy!!
LOVELY pictures.
Forsythia was one of my mothers favorite....and I've never heard of the morel mushrooms. Very interesting.
Ooh, I haven't seen any forsythias in bloom yet as it's still pretty chilly up here....thanks for the photos!
I love magnolia blossoms, but the trees can create quite a mess with all their dropped leaves. I'm speaking from experience! ;-Þ

Oooh, we used to find morel mushrooms in our woods on the farm in Ohio that I grew up on--there is nothing like those, battered and fried in butter.
What I wouldn't give for just a couple of those right now!
:)
